Blood transfusions were woven into Hoxi's life mural when she was a child. A Sickle Cell Anemia patient, she frequently received blood in order to stay healthy. Today, she still relies on donors' kindness. "Life goes on for me because there are soldiers with angel wings who take the time to give blood," she says.
