Eight-year-old Jake has battled a tougher adversary than most will ever face - a brain tumor. At age 3, he had surgery to remove the tumor, but he suffered bleeding aferward and used 21 units of blood. “I couldn't help but wonder who the donors were and why they had taken the time to donate,” his mom, Karen, says. “I wanted to thank them for being there for my child.”
