Richard Noble, facility manager at the Lufkin Neighborhood Donor Center, has served The Blood Center East Texas since March 2001. Noble’s priority is to ensure the donor center is as comfortable as possible for both donors and staff.
The safety of the blood supply is another key concern for Noble. He ensures the facility adheres to strict Food and Drug Administration guidelines for the well-being of donors, staff and blood recipients.
With his previous experience on mobile blood drives, Noble is skilled in phlebotomy, apheresis technology and donor screening. After his 2004 promotion to mobile supervisor, he took charge of organizing blood drive equipment and crew members, meeting with blood drive chairpersons and making sure drives were executed as efficiently as possible.
Prior to his employment at The Blood Center, Noble worked as a phlebotomist with Memorial Health System of East Texas. A lifelong Lufkin resident, he says enjoys the opportunity to give back to the community that has done so much for him.
Currently, he’s a member of Leadership Lufkin, a program of the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce that identifies and educates leaders in the area. Noble earned his degree in biology from Angelina College.
