What is Donor Recruitment?
The Donor Recruitment department is responsible for recruiting and educating donors, volunteers and donor groups about Commit for Life. They partner with businesses, religious organizations, community groups and educational institutions in the Gulf Coast region to permanently increase the blood supply by following the Group Program Path for Success. Who makes up Donor Recruitment?
- Group Program Consultants - These dedicated professionals work with community groups in the region to directly recruit donors and donor groups. Consultants schedule blood drives with host organizations, and educate about the Commit for Life programs. Click here to contact the Group Program Consultant in your area.
- The Power of Life High School Program - This group is responsible for promoting the high school program, The Power of Life. They also offer an annual interactive workshop for high school students called The Power of Life: A Real World Challenge with emphasis on education, leadership training and teamwork while encouraging future blood donors. - Volunteer Services – Volunteer Services coordinates the Commit for Life Volunteer Program that provides opportunities to help save lives by donating time. Volunteer opportunities include the Thank You Crew, Speakers' Bureau, Community Advocates, and Office Support. Click here to contact Volunteer Services.
- Community Outreach – Community Outreach at The Blood Center is available to raise awareness in your company, community event, church or synagogue. This group will help spread the word about the need for voluntary blood donors and share the Commit for Life story. Click here to contact Community Outreach.
- Speakers' Bureau – Speakers will share their personal stories about how blood donors made a difference in their lives or the lives of their loved ones, and are a great way to recruit new donors. They also provide technical and program information to spread the word about the need for blood and Commit for Life. Click here to request a speaker.
- Thank You Crew - The Blood Center provides Volunteers who are a great asset for welcome tables, health fairs and onsite recruitment for your blood drives.
