The Blood Center East Texas’ newly remodeled Nacogdoches Neighborhood Donor Center is now open. The blood supply is typically lower during the summer months, so now is an ideal time for donors to come in and enjoy the center’s new amenities while helping save lives.

The 2,165 square foot Nacogdoches Neighborhood Donor Center features three donor screening rooms and six collection beds with personal televisions. After giving a whole blood or an automated donation, donors can relax with freshly baked cookies in the large donor lounge. A new play area provides children with toys, videos and video games while their parents donate.

To celebrate the reopening, The Blood Center will offer a free Commit for Life T-shirt to all who donate or attempt to donate at the Nacogdoches Neighborhood Donor Center June 7 through 12.
