Angelina College in Lufkin held its first blood drive with The Blood Center East Texas in November 2004.  Since that date they have saved more than 750 lives in the East Texas Area.   Linda Herring, college nurse and chairperson, works very hard motivating  the students and faculty to Commit for Life  and get involved with the blood drives.  She already has nine blood drives scheduled for 2007.  The convenience of those blood drives will provide many college students in the East Texas area the opportunity to Commit for Life in 2007.
