East Texas blood donors are saving lives and helping the hungry this month. The Blood Center East Texas’ “Thanks for Giving” promotion, which spans the entire month of November, has generated at least 10 bags of food for Harvest House.
The promotion invited blood donors to bring donations of non-perishable food items to Neighborhood Donor Centers, so The Blood Center can distribute those items to food banks just in time for the holidays.
Norman Edwards of Harvest House visited Linda Warner, donor recruitment manager of The Blood Center of East Texas, to collect donated food items that will help area families this winter.
