Julie Romano is a member of our Speaker's Bureau who has been incredibly generous with the story of her son Johnny and his journey over the past year with Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia.   On January 17, 2006 she, once again, shared her story and provided inspiration to those working together to save lives. 

During the annual CenterPoint Chairperson Luncheon, blood drive chairpersons were recognized for their efforts and the lives they saved during 2005.  Julie and Mike Romano gave a heartfelt thanks to those who helped ensure the life saving donations that benefited her son, Johnny, and countless others in our community.

Johnny was in attendance, along with his little sister Sophie, and got the chance to speak with Mr. Teague, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's Founder and CEO.  Johnny's story has inspired and motivated many donors, chairpersons, employees and volunteers over the past year.  We are grateful for the Romano's dedication to helping others Commit for Life.
